Dear Ron Moore:

For future endeavors, for a good idea of what a lovely (and satisfying) series finale is, along with a good director cameo, see "Scrubs,"  m'kay?

Love,
Me

(p.s. -- it helps if you don't kill off the awesome female leads and leave the whiny, crying men behind to rebuild civilization.)

Heh... you can tell quite a bit about the creator/director of a show and how they do their cameo: Bill Lawrence cast himself as a janitor and was just cleaning up a giant sign and said "Night" to the main character without ever showing his face, directly... while Ron smirked at the camera and made me want to hit him, more than usual. Impressive, that. Though maybe it helped distract me from the awful NYC Times Square shot and the OMG ROBOTS ARE GONNA KILL US AND TECHNOLOGY IS EVIL! anvil.

My head still hurts from that anvil. Ouch.

Peter DeLuise likes to walk across the camera, or get hit with wrenches in SG-1 iirc.

What's really frustrating is that BSG even HAD a good example of how to do a cameo- Bear's cameo appearance in Someone To Watch Over Me was perfect. ::sigh:: (But totally agree about the Scrubs finale, and still think it should have been Admiral Dee instead of Admiral Hoshi.)
