Did anyone else feel confused by that episode? Like it was all over the place... fragments attempting to make a plot, but failing.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of EJO's directing. It just distracts me, and I start wondering about stuff that's not related to the characters or the plot. It's so... frenetic and forced. 

Of course, it was only made worse by a few of my least favorite things about Adama: his hygiene routines, the book reading at Roslin's bedside (again, really? Didn't we do that for like 3 eps in a row?), the ship-fondling, and oh yeah! THE BREAKING DOWN AND CRYING. I started laughing! I feel like an awful person for having no sympathy whatsoever, but the crying was so ridiculous. And all I could think about was "hey, who's making the paint for the ship? and last time there was paint on the show, it was a lot hotter." 

As for everyone else...

Poor Helo. He feels doubly awful about Hera and his betrayal to Athena, and I wanted to smack Adama for brushing him off like that. Because you lost a son and got over it (which you totally didn't), Helo needs to do the same with his daughter WHO WAS ABDUCTED AND NOT KILLED AND CAN STILL BE RESCUED?

Btw, am I remembering correctly but didn't Athena track down Hera before by plugging into all the 8s or something? Like isn't there a giant data stream where all the Cylon fishies swim? I'm confused. And how did he move the colony before the war without anyone noticing? Weren't there all the models on the colony? Sheesh.

I was hoping Boomer could be redeemed and have a change of heart, because I still don't get why she's doing this... Cavil is the one that made her a sleeper agent, right? So confused. And please, tone down the blush on Hera. 

Baltar... oh Baltar. How do you still have lab stuff? Where'd it all go? WHERE ARE YOUR GUNS? WHY ARE YOU FUNCTIONING? Gah. I liked Caprica calling him on how he hasn't changed. Because he hasn't. At least, I don't think so.

And where was the Chief with his whole repair crew dying? Hiding? Why don't they find a viable planet, land, and make the necessary repairs? It seems way dangerous to do it in transit. Are there no planets around anywhere? And didn't they run out of flags for the dead a long time ago? How weird and jarring to have funerals again all of a sudden, since death has been treated so cavalierly on the show since.

Finally... oh Kara. What are you? I liked that you wanted scientific proof that you died, but seriously, you SLAPPED Baltar. Since when do you not knock him out? Punch the man, damn it.

As for you killing Sam? I totally see you doing that, because he'd do the same for you. Neither would want to be tied to a bed like that... and I kind of hate that the Cylons have created hybrid!Sam. (Wait, if the plugged in people are called hybrids, and so's Hera... then umm, how does that work?) I want Sam to get hair and wake up and work with Kara. Btw, the scene with Lee felt so jammed in and forced. They haven't been interacting since the mutiny, so please don't try and jam them together now. It was weird.

And again, the final five are stupid. HOW ARE THEY NOT INTERESTED IN HOW KARA KNOWS THE SONG? That's way weirder than Hera knowing the song! At least we know why Hera is special. Why are they so dumb??!?

I dunno... this ep just didn't do it for me. It felt forced and awkward. What'd everyone else think?
