It's spring time!!! How exciting is that? It's my favorite season. And even though the weather has been completely bizarre lately, the trees are all budding (some are even blooming!) and the daffodils are out and the irises are soon to follow.
Yes, I'm a dork, but I love spring!
I haven't seen all of that BSG special about the phenomenon, aka celebrities talk about how much they like the show, but I did see part of it, and that clip where Joss says it's the best show he's ever seen (or something to that effect).
So that made me think... is it really the best show ever? I mean, how does one define the "best" show? Is it the show that makes a meaningful and longlasting contribution to popular culture and how we come to see not only television, but also the art of storymaking? Is it revolutionary? Is it unique?
And, on a more practical level, is it a show that keeps up the same caliber of writing, directing, producing, and acting throughout its run?
If so... then most of my favorite shows are out.

ETA: I speak of more recent, modern shows... not the older "classics."
