At some point this week, I need to take my dog to the vet for his usual checkup and shots... but I'm worried because while he hasn't had a severe dizzy spell (he has a vestibular condition), he's been a little out of it lately and throwing up more.

Now here's the thing -- he doesn't throw up immediately after eating. He eats (once a day) at 4 pm or so (he's super picky about eating on time or else he'll stare you down), and goes outside to sleep around midnight, or at 12:30 am....

He's been throwing up at night, so that's roughly 8 hours after he's eaten, so it's not his food, I think... so what's going on??? If his stomach is that upset, why does it take so long? Gah. Normally I give him Pepto-Bismol for his stomach ache  (my vet recommends it), and it does the trick... but only if I know his stomach is bothering him (like he looks like he's actually going to throw up). And I don't wanna give it to him every day in case it's bad for him... so I'm confused.

I'm hoping the vet has a solution. Has anyone else had problems like this with their pets?

"Because fashion... I mean, I'm the first to encapsulate this realistically: nobody needs it. I mean, we need clothes but do we need fashion? No. And fashion when it's good comes out of a context that's societal and cultural and historic and economic and political, so it's of a time and of a place." -- Tim Gunn, on the Daily Show, 2/4/08

"Why isn't everyone as reasonable as you as a human being?" -- Jon Stewart's response

Dude... Tim Gunn, I wish you could've been a source for my thesis. Sigh.
